| There isn't one. They're all great at something, and suck at something else. Or, occasionally, okay at everything, but never great.
I.E. Rogues are great at killing stuff quick. They suck at staying alive.
Warriors are extremely durable. But they tend to take a while to build up to the sort of damage a good rogue can do right out of the gate.
Hunters solo well, but don't work in many groups because unless played very well, they are out damaged by rogues, out tanked by warriors, and out CC'ed by Warlocks and Mages.

| I really think this is personal preference. Remember this is a game, and you want to have fun playing. So, in my opinion just play the class that is most fun to you. Race also doesn't seem to matter much, it gives you a little stat boost when you start, but there may be some racial traits that you might want. Do you want to tank, heal, dps, or be a jack-of-all trades? When I first started I made about 10 Chars. and tried all different races and jobs. Maybe try playing a few new characters and see what you think?
Humans get a reputation bonus, Dwaves get Stoneskin, Gnomes-escape artist, Night Elves- Shadowmeld, Dranei- Gift of Naruu to name a few.
Hope this helps a little.

Any class, well played, can in PvP take on any class of equivalent, or even in some cases higher level. There is no Rock/Paper/Scissors rule where Rogues always beat Mages who always beat Warriors who always beat Warlocks who always beat Rogues. Certainly some classes have advantages over others - Rogues fuck up casters good, and a good kiting hunter or 'lock can cause trouble for melee dependent classes like Pallys and Warriors and Rogues, but in the end, Blizzard designed with balance in mind and anyone should be able to beat anyone with enough skill. Play what you find to be fun. If you find everything to be fun, Play a Priest if you never want to have trouble getting a group, or anything other than a hunter if you don't want to be laughed at as being part of our guilds "too many hunters" problem. If you really want a bit of everything, a Druid is a strange sort of hybrid in that, when specced for it, they can be GREAT at a variety of roles, but only one at a time, wheras most hybrids fill a variety of roles at once, but not as well as a specialist -> see Shamans, Paladins, Hunters.

| Well i think i'll make a priest but what kind should i make, like which more do we need in this guild. I dont know too much about priests so i might need a little help deciding how to make them, but im pretty sure i'll be aiming for a holy priest. | |

| Personally, I like the paladin---he can do a little bit of everything! If specced appropriately, I have heard that a pally is just as good of a healer as a priest. I wouldnt know first-hand, but I am impressed with my healing powers so far.
We also could use more warlocks.

| But even without kiting i can beat just about any level equal to my own as a hunter, and on my 22 worlock its a completely different story | |

Because you don't know how to play a warlock. Any class that, well played, simply CAN NOT beat a player of equal level, isn't playint their class well. However, in some cases, 'well played' means things like, in the case of a rogue for instance, striking first. Also, below 40 versus above 40, a lot of the dynamics of the game become VERY different.

| reminder frozzenfire does not like hunters what so ever because most hunters r useless in raids and have a habbit of not following the raid leader. they like to solo too much soo dont re roll a hunter if u were thinking about that!!! | |

| I say its all in what you like doing in the game if you like helping others more than yourself pick a priest, if you like being solo pick a hunter, if your more into casters and magic pick a lock shamy or mage, if you like brute force and tanking pick a warrior, if you like healing but dont like wearing cloth pick a pally, see all depends on what you like doing | |

| Make a warlock. We desperately need them for summons in raids (poor Jovian does all of those now) and they work a bit like hunters with some of their pets, like the voidwalker. Also, after laying down a few spells on a mob, the DOT will handle the rest, making soloing rather easy. From what I hear, you should spec Demonology. | |

| Gliet, the choice is truly up to you. Its just as the ppl above have said, like Fiest and Horde and others. The class you decide is based on the type of person you are as well. You can be the person who dishes out most of the damage, killing opponents like they were roaches to you; or you can be the one that survives the longest, becuase your more durable than others and have a special talent for it; or you can be a healer, whether shadow or holy, its all up to you. Personally, since your playing as a druid, you have access to all the classes in a minor way. So while playing as each set: Healer, Tank, Caster...you can chose which class you would like to roll next, thus the advantage of picking a Druid. If you do pick a priest and have questions about it, just let me know, and i'll fill you in | |
