What about an all hands reqquired raid....

For our next Raid we should have it so that it is practically required, obviously not everyone can make it and obviously some people wont make it, But we should have a date set in stone and everyone should try to be there, and another thing is i think a class based Company or Batalion for a lack of better words should be organized. Like we have our tanks (pally warrior) front line,followed by the rouge's, then the hunters, then the warlocks and mage's. If we have it set in ston that thats the way it is we should have no problem taking Xroads. In the last raid everyone was running about, and pulling NPC's like thats what we were there for lol....

Grouping by class isn't the smartest thing for a hit on someplace like the XR because really, you need mixed units to be truly effective.

I.E. if all of your mages are grouped together in one place, then your tanks don't have any effective AoE support.

Better to have groups of 5 which include a Tank, Healer, DPS, CC, etc.

It might not be a bad idea to set up static groups near in level which can raid/BG together when we do put together the massive stuff. People who can then get to know each other, and come to rely on each other/work together.

yea but if all tanks are in front line and all ranged people are further back then they can give the tanks all the support they could possibly need and most likely draw quite a few of them to us.

For PvE? Sure. That makes a ton of sense.

Fact is, other players are smarter than that, and will swarm the healers. There's no aggro system for human beings that a tank can build up threat. Instead it's kill them before they kill you, and the best way to do that is to focus on small group tactics that allow small squads with a variety of talents to easily work together.

From what I learned in the ashenvale raid, groups like those in instances work very well.
